Volkswagen and Audi track days
Every year we organise a number of dedicated
track days for Volkswagen and Audi* drivers, so that they can drive their
road cars at high speed on a race circuit.
(* also includes SEAT, Skoda and other VW Group models)
Confirmed dates for 2008 are as follows:
Saturday May 17
VW & Audi track day
sponsored by

Mallory Park, Leics
Saturday July 26
VW & Audi track day
Castle Combe, Wilts
Saturday Oct 11
Audi (only) track day*
Castle Combe, Wilts
* Part of Audi Driver International
( see
www.audidriverinternational.co.uk )
In each case, track day bookings should be made in advance, taking advantage
of our 10% discount for online booking, although sessions can also be
booked on the day (subject to availability).
A full-day booking entitles you to 6 session tickets ( 3 to be taken am and 3
pm ) or you can book a half-day (3 session tickets) and choose am or pm.
(Half-day am bookings can usually be upgraded to full-day, on the day). Exact
track time cannot be absolutely guaranteed, but is usually 10-15 mins of
clear track time per session, and there are usually four sessions per hour,
with entrants expected to queue as necessary to achieve their ticket
entitlement. Additional session tickets can also be bought on the day,
subject to availability.

Crash helmets
All drivers and passengers must wear a crash helmet. These can be hired
on the day, subject to a deposit.
ALL DRIVERS MUST SHOW A FULL CURRENT DRIVING LICENCE
ON THE DAY
First-time drivers
Our track days are not just for seasoned specialists, we also encourage
first-timers to take part. A very comprehensive briefing is given on the day
and instructors are available to drive you around, or they can ride with you
and give advice for the first few laps before allowing you to drive on your
own.
We can almost guarantee you'll enjoy the experience! We can also
supply a set of notes giving advice on preparation and procedures for anyone
interested in taking part in track days for the first time. Please contact us
at mail@autometrix.co.uk Tel:
01525 750 500 or write to us at the Autometrix address.
Passengers
Front seat passengers over the age of 16 are allowed at our track days,
subject to completion of an indemnity form and payment of a single £5
administration fee.
Parade laps
Under-16s can ride as passengers on the special lunchtime low-speed
parade lap sessions, following a course car. This is a very popular feature
for parents with children, treating them to a ride around a real race
circuit. Free of charge, you can register for this on the day.
Spectators
Spectators are more than welcome at all our events, with plenty to see
and do. As well as the track activity we often arrange trade stands, demo
drives, club displays and a Show 'n' Shine at many of our events. Entry is
free at Mallory Park, although Castle Combe makes a £7 charge
for entry and parking. The entry charge at the Audi Driver
International even on October 11 will be £10.
