A major attraction of the event was the quarter-mile Sprint track, where two cars accelerate side-by-side against the clock, with electronic timing of their 0-60 times and quarter-mile ET.

This year saw the busiest quarter-mile Sprint for a very long time, with 
well over 500 entries and nearly 1700 runs recorded – the quickest ET was 10.2 (0-60 in 2.5 secs!) recorded by Paul Jordan’s 4WD 20VT + NOS Scirocco, with fastest time on Saturday going to Andy Waite's 20VT 4WD Mk 1 Golf (10.8)
