Show 'n' Shine
The focal point of GTI International, the Show 'n' Shine, sponsored
by Meguiar's and organized by Mark Almond, was staged over both days of the
event.
The main display area saw hundreds of the country’s top show cars, both
highly modified custom, and concours classic (original and restored)
examples of all types, as well as regular daily drivers in exceptional
condition. This year there were also new classes for VW vans and for
Porsche.
Best of Show on Saturday was Nilesh Patel's modified Mk 2 GTI
16V, with Simon McNamara's concours standard Mk 1 GTi taking the honours on
Sunday.
