Despite some rather wet and dreary weather on
Saturday and strong winds on the sunny Sunday, GTI International
celebrated its 21st anniversary with a successful event, attended by a
huge number of visitors on Sunday and marked by a record number of runs
on the quarter-mile Sprint.
Provisional results for the Sprint, Show 'n' Shine, Driver Slalom and
Dubmasters Challenge are now posted on this site, and a full 12-page photoreport on the event will appear in
the August issue of Volkswagen Driver magazine, on sale July 16.
In the meantime, we'd like to thank all those thousands of visitors,
traders, sponsors, staff and support personnel who worked so hard
through the weekend to make the event such a success, in spite of the
adverse weather conditions.
