New Passat CC

Unveiled at the recent North American International Auto Show in Detroit,
the new Passat CC combines coupe styling with a full four-seat capability.

Measuring 4.8 m long and 1.85 m wide ­ 31 mm longer and 36 mm wider than the
standard Passat ­ it has a wider track and is 50 mm lower in height.

Engine options range from a 160 PS 1.8 TSI unit, through 200 PS 2.0 TSI to
the 300 PS 3.6 V6 petrol engines, plus 140 and 170 PS TDI engines. The 1.8
TSI comes with either 6-spd manual or 7-spd DSG, the 2.0 TSI with either
6-spd manual or auto and the V6 has a 6-spd DSG with 4WD. The diesels have
either 6-spd manual or DSG.

Special optional equipment will include Lane Assist, radar-assisted cruise
control, Park Assist and Dynamic Drive Control (DDC).

Production commences at the Emden factory this spring, with UK sales
commencing in late summer. More details in the March issue of Volkswagen
